01Scope

These terms govern your use of the Snapuno mobile app ("the app") and snapuno.com, both provided by BUKCS PTE. LTD. ("we").

Installing or using the app means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app and remove it from your device.

02What the app does

The app recognises QR codes and barcodes, Wi-Fi details, business cards and printed text from your camera or from an image in your gallery, and lets you copy, share, store or listen to the result.

Recognition runs on your device. The Privacy Policy explains this in detail.

03Accuracy of recognition

Recognised text may differ from the original depending on angle, lighting, print quality, typeface and language. We do not warrant that results are accurate or complete.

Where a misreading could cause harm — contracts, medical information, financial or tax documents, legal texts, medicine labels — check the result against the original. The app does not replace professional review.

Fields parsed from a business card can be swapped or dropped, so review the raw text shown alongside them before saving a contact.

04Joining networks and opening links

The app passes a recognised network name and password to your operating system. It does not vouch for the safety of that network or for what travels across it. Avoid sensitive work on public networks.

The address inside a QR code is displayed before it opens. Deciding whether that address is safe is yours to make, and we are not responsible for the content of external sites.

05Free use and advertising

Recognition features are free to use, and the free version displays advertising. The format and frequency of ads may be adjusted without prior notice.

Modifying the app to bypass or block advertising is not permitted.

06Snapuno Pro subscription

Snapuno Pro is an auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account, and the price and currency are those shown by the store.

Where a free trial is offered, it converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. A subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You cancel through your store account settings on the device. Refunds follow the policy of the relevant store and the consumer law where you live; we cannot process a refund on the store’s behalf.

While the subscription is active, no ads are shown. The set of subscriber benefits may change, but not to your disadvantage within a period you have already paid for.

07Your responsibilities

You must have the right to scan what you scan. Where you recognise and keep another person’s card, document or personal data, complying with the data protection law that applies to you is your responsibility.

Recognising, copying or distributing copyrighted works, obtaining and using someone else’s Wi-Fi credentials without permission, and any other unlawful use of the app are prohibited.

08Prohibited conduct

• Reverse engineering, decompiling or modifying the app, or distributing derivatives of it
• Redistributing, selling or renting the app without our prior written consent
• Placing an unreasonable load on the app or the site through automated means
• Circumventing security measures, purchase verification or ad delivery
• Any use that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others

09Intellectual property

The app, the site, and the software, design, trade marks and text within them belong to us or to their rightful owners. These terms grant only a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app.

What you recognise with the app belongs to you or to the original author. We claim no rights over it.

10Third-party services

The app uses Google AdMob to serve advertising and RevenueCat to verify subscription status. Each provider’s own terms apply alongside these.

Purchases made through an app store are also governed by Apple’s or Google’s terms.

11Changes and interruption

We may improve, add to or remove features. Material changes that disadvantage paying subscribers are announced in advance.

Service may be interrupted in whole or in part by events beyond our control, store policy changes or technical reasons. We will give notice where we reasonably can.

12Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is". We do not warrant uninterrupted operation, nor accurate results across every device, language and piece of print.

13Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from errors in recognition.

Where we are found liable, our total liability will not exceed the amount you actually paid in connection with the app in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing here limits rights that mandatory consumer law gives you.

14Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms; a revision takes effect when it is published on the site. Material changes are announced in the app.

If you do not accept a revision, stop using the app and remove it.

15Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction.

Where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence provides otherwise, that law and those courts prevail. Users in Korea remain covered by Korean consumer protection legislation.

16Language

These terms are published in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese. Where translations differ, the English version governs, unless the law where you live requires the local-language version to prevail.
